Lun is a settlement located on the northernmost tip of the island of Pag, surrounded by olive groves.
It is one of only three locations in the world with a large number of wild olive trees.
Among the approximately 80,000 olive trees, about 1,500 wild olive trees stand out for their uniqueness; they range from 5 to 8 meters in height and have a trunk diameter exceeding 80 centimeters. This wild olive grove, covering an area of 23.6 hectares, is the only one of its kind in the Adriatic and holds great botanical and aesthetic value.
Due to its unique characteristics, it was protected and designated as a botanical reserve in 1963. The Lun olive groves are a true oasis of peace and one of the most picturesque and beautiful corners of our island. This wild olive area, covering 24 hectares, is the only one of its kind in the Adriatic and holds great botanical value.
